Cities: Skylines II is a video game rooted in the human passion to create. However, it’s quite a hardcore title, one that requires some commitment to understand.

To address this challenge, the campaign featured low barrier to entry touchpoints, bringing audiences into the Cities: Skylines II world through experience and entertainment.

Powered by PC Gamer, a piece of 3D street art was created and situated at the EGX video games trade fair at ExCeL London. The game’s theme was perfectly captured through an interactive piece that saw hundreds of visitors posing for snapshots, seemingly balancing precariously atop a giant skyscraper. This unique experience and resultant UGC, provided authentic and emotion-driven awareness. The perfect introduction to the game.

The campaign was further supported by digital editorial, influencer activations, brand social, bespoke media and the cover of PC Magazine itself.
